ADDITIONAL RETREATING ACTIVITIES
This place is captivating and you may find that the yoga and the surroundings are enough to fulfill your week away… or… you may want a massage, a guided hike, an adventure to the animal sanctuary, and or A SURF LESSON! All the activities will be arranged once you arrive on the Osa. The prices are per person and if there is a taxi necessary, the price of transport can be split between all the passengers. The taxi is $30 each way, and holds up to 6 people.
Surf Lessons – $40 for one, or $90 for three. Surfboard rentals are available with skill approval for $25 per day. We cannot say ENOUGH about the surf instruction, the waves, the equipment, and the confidence building experience this combination provides. EVERYONE gets up and has a deeply empowering time!

On Wednesday, we venture to the Animal Sanctuary to enjoy the stories of incredible animals who found a temporary or permanent home on this reserve. Walk amongst baby monkeys, anteaters, kinkajoos, taras, and scarlet macaws. This half-day adventure is a group activity offering, Shannon and Joe would NOT miss it. The sanctuary accepts a donation of $25 each and the cab ride and boat depend upon how many of us attend, in general, an additional $25 – $35 each. We leave on Wednesday after yoga and breakfast to spend a couple hours after the ride across the bay enjoying the animals and then indulge in a light lunch ON the grid in town ($5 – 6) before we head back out to catch some late afternoon waves and another flawless dinner!

Her website is under construction; however, you can email the spa’s founder, Vanessa, about her variety of incredible scrubs, wraps, facials, and hair wraps at: [email protected] The components of each treatment are local fruits, grains, coffees, chocolates, flowers, and essential oils – MADE FRESH daily!!! Prices range from $35 – $75 per treatment. THIS IS A MUST DO!!!
Friday night is Farmers Market on the Osa! This is an incredible gathering of artists, artisans, growers, bakers, ice cream makers and THE Samaritan CHOCOLATE lady!!! Gifts abound!
EXPENSES
As you know how much you shop and might indulge yourself in extra curricular activities. There is not a cash machine close by.
Gratuities are accepted at the end of the week for the retreat center staff. If you have been greatly pleased, we recommend a $50 and up tip per person and a 10% tip for each activity guide.
Costa Rica Exit Visa Tourist Fee, $28 per person, prior to checking into your outbound flight is required. They accept all major credit cards, cash, and travelers checks.
