ACCOMMODATIONS
Our spacious beachfront property along the luscious Playa Sombrero has been landscaped with much care to promote privacy and welcome wildlife. There are 8 Jungle Cabins-Eco Yurts and 2 Large Villas, Casa Rio Sombrero and Casa Playa Sombrero. The houses and Cabins are just steps away from Playa Sombrero as well as the mouth of Rio Sombrero, which can be an excellent seasonal freshwater dipping source.
The Villa, Casa Playa Sombrero has an open construction that allows for a steady ocean breeze throughout the living space and also provides both ocean and lush mountain views. Upstairs has a large floor plan with a beautiful hardwood floor and a thatched roof ceiling. Sleeping accommodations will be dormitory style in separate beds or queen shared for couples. Downstairs has a cozy living space and a shared bathroom. There is a STUNNING pool out the back with various places for an afternoon nap in the shade or sunning with a book and some laughter!
The Villa, Casa Rio Sombrero was handcrafted with fine hard woods, an open floor plan, and a beautiful thatched roof. Upstairs the house has two bedrooms containing king-sized, netted beds. Downstairs, there is a central kitchen that has been designed as the focus for gathering. There is a shared bathroom for this villa’s residents. The bathroom area has a covered dipping pool that provides a refreshing escape from the tropical mid-day sun.
The 8 Jungle Cabins are spread out on the magnificent 20 acre property. These are specially designed for comfort in the tropics. The thatched roof will keep you dry and cool, while the transparent ridge on top lets light in. They are equipped with beautiful screened Moroccan style tents whose special fabric allows good ventilation and guarantees dulce sueños (sweet dreams). Each Jungle Cabin has a cozy porch to relax on. All bungalows have a private open air shower with a nearby shared bathroom facility. Each Cabin has two single mattresses. Two close friends or a couple LOVE sharing these units!
As a matter of placing you in the perfect place during your stay, we will house you with your friend(s) you are travelling with and or your loving spouse, date, or partner! Collective rooming is FUN and available in the villa houses!!! Each person will snuggle up in his or own bed and mosquito net. (Men and women will be in separate houses). We will place couples and bff’s in yurts. Private accommodations are available for an additional charge, as space permits. Family units and placement are ALSO available as space permits (nanny’s are available!) As registration commences, we will fill in the gaps and arrange everyone in the best possible configuration.
The Main house, the Casa Grande, is where we will indulge in the DELICIOUS meals, artfully created by Angus and his staff of chef-surfers. This house serves as an excellent gathering place, has Wi-Fi, and small gift shop to indulge the shopping senses within you!
The Yoga Deck is a spacious hardwood platform of bamboo construction with a stunning thatched roof. It is marvelously close to the beach and catches a constant breeze to weave through your practice.
